Coyotes vs Blues Pick: Saturday February 6th

Coyotes vs Blues Pick: Saturday, February 6th: These teams are coming off a 4-3 Coyotes win on Wednesday in a game that was 3-0 at the 56-minute mark. This Blues team has a lot of firepower, and they can score with the goalie pulled. Coach Rick Tocchet wants this Coyote team to play like him, but they are incapable. He coaches a conservative defensive style, but he simply doesn’t have the roster.

NHL Picks: Jimmy’s Super Saturday Hockey Bets

His 1st line of Nick Schmaltz between Clayton Keller and Conor Garland has an average weight of 170 pounds. They are easy to play against, and they simply have to score to have any chance at success. That first line is rated as the 6th worst 1st line in the NHL based on Corsi rankings, and I’m surprised they’re that high. There 2nd line of Christian Dvorak between Drake Caggiula and Tyler Pitlick has a little more size averaging 6’0 190 pounds, but they are rated as the 2nd worst 2nd line in the NHL.

Then you have Barrett Hayton, the 5th overall pick in the 2018 draft. A center you have high hopes for playing between Derick Brassard and Phil Kessel. Derick Brassard had two good seasons back to back for the New York Rangers, but that was back in 2014-15 and 2015-16. He is now ranked as the 136th best left winger in the NHL. Fatty Phil looks like a highly rated player as the 64th best right winger in the league. If that line is not scoring, they aren’t doing anything. The market is behind this Coyotes team. They have a strange tendency to mimic the team they are playing, and the Blues are playing fast-paced offensive hockey. So I expect a fast-paced offensive game, and they are hanging a 5.5 at plus money. You bet that every time it’s available.

We talked about the Blues on Wednesday night’s show. This is an offensive team. There is an enormous misconception in the market. This is not the Blues from year’s past. They have a ton of scoring on this team even without Vladimir Tarasenko in the lineup. This team has snipers everywhere. David Perron, Jordan Kyrou, Jaden Schwartz, Brayden Schenn, Mike Hoffman, Robert Thomas, Sammy Blais.

Notice I didn’t mention Ryan O’Reilly because he’s a rugged, face-off winner, responsible center while capable of scoring. Then you add Torrey Krug on the back end, and we have to take advantage of this market mistake and bet overs until the market corrects itself. Blues games should not be at 5.5, and they certainly shouldn’t be plus money to the Over.
