Betting Analysis

The Seahawks are at 5-5 and coming off a win and they need to keep winning to just stay in the Wild Card race. They have not faced the Steelers since the 2011 season when Russell Wilson was still in college.

The Steelers are in the lead in the AFC Wild Card race and they need a win to keep pace with the 8-2 Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC North.

The Steelers have a solid offense ranking 13th in passing yards per game and 6th in rushing yards per game and they face a Seattle defense that ranks 7th in the league.

Big Ben has solid after WR’s and after torching the Raiders for 170 rushing yards RB DeAngelo Williams struggled in the last game. He will be facing a Seattle run defense that ranks 9th in the league and their pass D ranks 2nd in the league. The Legion of Boom Seattle D has been up and down on the season and if their secondary struggles in this game Big Ben will take advantage.

Remember when the Pittsburgh defense was dominant? Well that in years’ past, as this season they rank 28th against the pass, but a solid 5th against the run.

Marshawn Lynch is out for this game with an injury, but rookie Thomas Rawls has been solid in his absence and he torched the 49ers for 209 rushing yards. Wilson still does not have a great WR corps, but he may have a big game and even in the Steelers’ win over the Browns they allowed Johnny Manziel to pass for 327 yards.

Bus Man’s Pick: despite their 5-5 record I think Seattle is still an elite team and they will show that with a win over the legit Steelers at home with a W and they will cover the 3.5-point spread.
